Today finally got here - the day to bring the horses home! It seems like they have been gone for soooo long. We took them to our daughter's house last October, evacuating them from a possible fire situation. In fact, we even evacuated ourselves a few days later because the fires surrounding us were cutting off any escape route off the mountain. Two days later we returned home during a snow storm - Colorado weather never disappoints.

It just didn't make sense to bring the horses back home when we would have taken them to winter pasture within the next two weeks anyway. They spent the whole winter with the cousin horses - Skeeter, Copper and Pearl; five Mustangs in one pen. They did well together and came home in great shape.
